Student information

Learning Format

To meet the needs of our students and business partners, AED Programs are offered in two formats in Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing.  All other programs will be offered in Hybrid only.

Traditional/Full In-Person:
Schedule: In-person classes on school nights from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Location: Classroom and/or shop area within an NCCVT school.

Hybrid:
Format: Mix of instructor-led Zoom classes and in-person sessions.
Note: Same curriculum and hands-on "Shop" time as in-person classes.

Due to our inability to forecast how COVID-19 will affect the in-person, hands-on training we are able to provide throughout the school year, all AED Programs will have the possibility of changing to a hybrid learning environment during the school year. Traditional classroom instruction will be administered either online through Schoology’s Learning Management System while incorporating a mandatory Zoom Class Meeting component and/or through a traditional in-person classroom and/or hands-on instruction component. Our ability to offer in-person and/or hands-on instruction will be completely dependent on our ability to do so while keeping our staff and students safe while practicing all health and safety guidance related to COVID-19
